Our Review
When my eyes flashed on the title as a movie upcoming on my reviews list and I thought this should be pretty cool. The legendary Oliver Stone’s JFK, the source of conspiracy information for crazy people like myself across the net. But did it live up to the fragments of reputations I had heard about?

No, it really didn’t. The plot was good, the ideas were sound but it was more of a documentary than a movie. Perhaps this was to add to the conspiracy theories and to make people believe it. But it plays like an actual police investigation – long slow and boring.

The first twenty / thirty minutes set up the plot line of the JFK assassination and three years later the investigation beginning again. As the film develops the huge government conspiracy becomes to unravel though it lacks subtly – people just happen to know it all and say it all out load.

The movie seems clichéd; the key witnesses are taken out by secret government agents we can only presume in suspicious circumstances. Of course today we live in an age of government backlash and growing distrust of video. So perhaps back then these kind of things didn’t seem so expected.

Perhaps I am expecting too much and looking it from an entertainment perspective. Though it’s hard to believe that this would ever be my sole focus and the movie seems to be drained of it all together. It has all the other important parts that make a great movie but seems to be lacking the foundations. You can’t make a good movie without them.

The end result though is that I was disappointed. On a conspiracy theory levels it was too obvious some of the facts were fictional and on a cinematic level it was stretched out and repetitive.
